UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS URBANA-CHAMPAIGN

Student Spotlight: Jay Oneil

Online programs at Illinois help students from all walks of life and career areas to excel in their profession.   One example is current student, Jay Oneil, from the online CyberGIS and Geospatial Data Science M.S. program. He is on active duty with the U.S. Army.  Chief Warrant Officer Oneil is a Geospatial Engineer Technician attached to an airborne unit with the 1st Special Forces Command.

The CyberGIS and Geospatial Data Science program is flexible so that students may work around professional and personal obligations, including those in the military.  Jay recently shared that “The CyberGIS and Geospatial Data Science online program has allowed me to enhance my 12 years of experience in the GIS field through various languages and software, enabling me to excel beyond my peers.”

Contact us if you would like to learn more about the certificate or M.S. program in CyberGIS and Geospatial Data Science, and how we can help you achieve your goals while you maintain other obligations!
